It has been reported that the Better Cotton Growth and Innovation Fund (GIF) is set to meet its aim to reach five million farmers by 2020. Initiated by the Better Cotton Initiative and the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), the fund has by organised at a crucial time with one recent report revealing that sustainable cotton represents not even a fraction of global production.
