Brecon Carreg: Re-awarded Ethical Accreditation

Brecon Carreg has retained Ethical Accreditation for the 4th successive year and receives a high-ranking Ethical Company Index score of 89 in the latest Bottled Water research update on The Good Shopping Guide.

Brecon Carreg began 40 years ago as a cottage industry, in converted barns on Llwyndewi Farm in Wales and continues to operate as a close-knit team with a genuine passion for the countryside that produces their pure and natural water.

The company is committed to being a sustainable, environmentally and community focused natural mineral water producer.

In 2018 Brecon Carreg proudly won Responsible Business of the Year at the BITC Awards.

The company is involved in a number of community-based environmental projects, including ‘Run Refuel Recycle’ which highlights the importance of recycling to runners and spectators at a number of high profile running events across Wales plus the company has recently installed around 50,000 bees as part of a biodiversity project near the Brecon Carreg source.

Brecon Carreg wants to see any negative environmental impact from single use plastic become a thing of the past and has co-funded an independent initiative convened by The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, which aims to develop an ambitious vision and road-map to eliminate plastic packaging waste from drinks containers in the UK.

Further information about Brecon Carreg's environmental projects can be found here.
