What is Traidcraft and what does it do?

Traidcraft was founded back in 1979, when it published it’s first hand-drawn catalogue, showcasing jute handicrafts from Bangladesh. The range quickly expanded to include food items from around the world. In 1989 the brand became founding members of the World Fair Trade Organisation and in 1992, it co-founded the Fairtrade Foundation. Traidcraft have been going strong ever since, advocating the importance of organic farming, sustainability and transparency regarding the lives of growers, producers and artisans around the world. Over the past 40 years, it has been a main player in the introduction of Fairtrade chocolate, coffee, tea, fruit juice, wine and even sustainably grow Fairtrade palm oil.
