Ethical Chocolate: Seed & Bean

by | Jul 1, 2020 | Ethical Accreditation

Seed & Bean was founded in 2005 with the mission to create an ethical range of confectionery – with a focus on using organic ingredients, using small-scale suppliers and being brave and wild with flavours.  Today, the company offers 22 unique flavoured chocolate products which are 100% organic; Fairtrade where possible, ethically sourced and handmade in England.

In 2011, Seed & Bean was awarded independent Ethical Accreditation from the Ethical Company Organisation, reflecting the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Seed & Bean has worked hard to make their packaging zero plastic, zero waste – all their packaging is fully compostable.  In addition to a recyclable paper outer layer, they use a 100% compostable foil called Natureflex™ – a flexible cellulose film which is made from eucalyptus wood pulp.

Seed & Bean is ranked as one of The Good Shopping Guide’s top performing ethical companies – see our latest Chocolate research here and find out more about the company’s values and their huge range of mouth-watering flavours on their website: seedandbean.co.uk
