One of the big stories surrounding our research has to do with the GoGen Ltd scandal. Telephone fundraising agency GoGen Ltd, the object of an investigation ceased trading after 15 years, as a series of allegations were made based on undercover reports. The reports claim GoGen Ltd telephoned people registered with the Telephone Preference Service as well as vulnerable people who were suffering from Alzheimers and dementia. Listen Ltd has also faced numerous allegations. What’s disturbing about both cases is the fact that these companies were representing some of Britain’s biggest charities.
