V-Dog, a pet food brand owned by Vegeco Ltd, is one of The Good Shopping Guide’s top-rated ethical brands and is featured on our list of the Top 200 Ethical Businesses.

The brand was established to offer vegetarian and environmentally friendly goods and services to humans and their pets. Its objective is to offer solutions to customers who want to lessen or avoid animal exploitation. What makes V-Dog so sustainable?

V-Dog has a wide range of sustainable initiatives that further the brand’s ethical status. The UK Vegan Society and Vegetarian Society have given their approval to V-Dog products. It has received PETA approval for not performing animal testing.

Its products do not use GM ingredients, and two Benevo products are certified by the Organic Food Federation and the Soil Association. V-Dog’s Wiggle Biscuits are also certified by USDA. 

In 2019, Benevo, the parent company of V-Dog organised a beach clean, using biodegradable bags. 

How did V-Dog attain Ethical Accreditation

V-Dog has attained Ethical Accreditation from The Good Shopping Guide. This involved an application process and a full review of the brand’s ethical policies and practices. V-Dog is subject to an annual review to ensure the company maintains high ethical standards.

As a result, V-Dog is permitted to use our Good Shopping Guide Ethical logo, which certifies the brand’s ethical status and allows consumers to recognise V-Dog as an ethical brand.
