How ethical and sustainable is Lenovo?

What does Lenovo do?
The Chinese global technology corporation with a focus on designing, producing, and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, business solutions, and related services are known as Lenovo Group Limited or just Lenovo.
On November 1st, 1984, a team of engineers led by Liu Chuanzhi and Danny Lui established Lenovo in Beijing as Legend. The company, which started off specialising in televisions, eventually shifted to creating and selling computers. In China, Lenovo has developed into the market leader. Lenovo held a commanding market share of 25.7% of all PCs sold globally in the third quarter of 2020.
For which criteria does Lenovo perform poorly?
Despite Lenovo’s progress, there is still room for improvement. Lenovo was marked down under our research criteria for Political Donations, due to its regular donations to political campaigns, parties and candidates in the United States.
Additionally, Lenovo receives a bottom rating for Human Rights, due to its alleged links to worker exploitation, forced labour and other harmful labour practices.
In what areas does Lenovo score well for its ethics?
Despite its low overall rating, Lenovo does score well in some categories. This includes a top rating in the Environmental Report criterion, as its latest ESG Report details its sustainability goals, which shows the company is committed to improving its environmental record.
How can Lenovo brand improve its Ethical Rating?
