Carlsberg launches latest sustainability report, showing 16% reduction in carbon emissions by The Good Shopping Guide | Feb 22, 2018 | Ethical Shopping Blog | 0 comments Carlsberg made headlines among the business and sustainability communities when the company first announced its Together Towards Zero strategy. The significance of this plan was the company’s dedication to science-based targets and the overall aims of the Paris Agreement. In its inaugural sustainability report since the publication of this strategy, the global beer giant has documented a 16% reduction in carbon emissions. Additionally, Carlsberg noted a 6% reduction in water use since 2015. The company will also continue toward its aim of eliminating use of coal power at all breweries by 2022. But what is also noteworthy about the latest sustainability report is news that Carlsberg’s brewery in Falkenberg is now completely powered by biogas and renewables. This is the beer-makers first completely carbon-neutral brewery. You can find the report here. You can also read more about it here.
