Ethical Accreditation: Highland Spring

by | Nov 11, 2020 | Ethical Accreditation

Highland Spring has been re-awarded independent Ethical Accreditation following an in-depth audit by The Ethical Company Organisation.  This is the 13th successive year that the company has achieved this important accolade, highlighting its ongoing commitment to sustainability within this sector.

Most notably, the company has continued expansion of the Highland Spring eco bottle range which contains 100% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable*, plus the company is increasing the amount of recycled plastic in its packaging including trialling 100% recycled LDPE in shrink wrap.  Highland Spring is also investing in a new rail freight facility which will enable the business to transport goods in an environmentally sustainable way, reduce its carbon footprint by 3,200 tonnes and remove approximately 8,000 trucks from the road a year.

The Good Shopping Guide recommends Highland Spring as one of the top-ranking Bottled Water brands in our latest research update, which can be seen here.

For further information about the company’s commitment to a sustainable future, visit the Highland Spring Eco Hub.

*The Bottle is made from 100% recycled plastic. Label and cap are not made from recycled plastic. Bottle, label and cap are 100% recyclable.
