Ethical Pet Food Pioneer: Burns

by | Jan 13, 2020 | Ethical Accreditation

Burns pet food has recently been re-awarded Ethical Accreditation for the 15th consecutive year! They were the first pet food company to successfully attain independent Ethical Accreditation back in 2005.

Burns is a pioneer of natural pet food, having been developed by their founder back in 1993.  Their products are made using simple, high quality, wholesome ingredients with none of the nasties found in many mass-market pet foods.  The company is working towards more sustainable packaging across their ranges of pet food and treats – their new bags are now 100% recyclable and a new sealing innovation increases puncture resistance making for less damage and wastage.

Burns receives a high-ranking Ethical Company Index score of 91 in the Cat & Dog Food brand comparison table.

Burns pet food customers can take advantage of their free nutritional helpline where professional nutritionists are on hand to help advise on how to feed and care for your pet with their food which is designed specifically to manage health problems in dogs, cats and rabbits.  See the Burns website for further information.
