Popular on-the-go food retailer, Greggs, is seeking to improve its water efficiency standards. The move follows an agreement between Greggs and Business Stream, with the latter assisting the food chain to develop a more efficient water management strategy. The company policy will affect 1,650 stores across the UK.

Ally Stephenson, Head of Purchasing for Greggs, commented in response to the agreement: “We have been very impressed with the support that we have received from Business Stream during the complex switch over process, and are already seeing the benefits of working with a national supplier. Having a single point of contact who is helping us to resolve issues and minimise water usage will bring both financial and environmental benefits.”
