Microsoft has pledged to reduce its operation carbon emissions by 75%, as the global giant aims to meet the targets set out in the Paris Agreement.

Following the defiant statements by leading US firms, who committed to being ‘all in’ with the Paris Agreement despite Trump’s decision to leave it, Microsoft has furthered its defiant stance. In a recent blog post, Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer of the company, wrote: “At Microsoft, we believe climate change is an urgent problem that demands a global response from all industries.”

There are a number of action points to the plan, including additional commitments to current carbon neutrality and renewable energy targets.
