As of today, 106 corporations have committed to the RE100 scheme, which is operated by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP.

Kellogg Company, Estée Lauder and DBS Bank are among the latest high-profile companies to join the scheme and commit to 100% renewable energy. Their pledged to source 100 per cent of their power from renewable sources will undoubtedly be met with positive response, as more leadership like this is required across the whole of corporate operations if we’re to successfully take up the fight against climate change.

What seems clear, as the report indicates, is that switching to renewable energy now makes good business sense. This could prove to be an important turning point, as renewable sources become cheaper thus offering real incentive for corporate businesses to make the switch.
