A new study has been published, suggesting “only 1-2% of global soy production is certified responsible”. There is some hope, according to Jane Byrne, that this figure could rise to 10% in 5 years. However, from a distant vantage point, the certification numbers seem incredibly low amid a notable increase in pressure to ensure soy supply chains are not a driving factor behind deforestation.
