Top ranking Highland Spring re-attains Ethical Accreditation by The Good Shopping Guide | Nov 6, 2017 | Ethical Accreditation, Ethical Shopping Blog | 0 comments The Good Shopping Guide is pleased to announce that Highland Spring has successfully re-attained Ethical Accreditation, after passing our annual independent audit. In a recent update, Highland Spring was distinguished as top ranking on the ethical index for bottled water. The brand scored perfect marks across all categories, resulting in an exemplary 100 ECI. Highland Spring natural spring water comes from the Ochil Hills in Perthshire, Scotland. The water is renowned for its purity, thanks to the protected organic catchment area from where it is sourced – no farming, agricultural spraying, building or habitation is permitted on the land and it has been kept free from pesticides and pollution for almost three decades. It was the first bottled water brand in the UK to have its catchment area certified as organic by the Soil Association. Every Highland Spring bottle is recyclable and since 2005, the company has reduced the weight of plastic used in their bottles by 13.9%. Their glass Highland Spring Sparkling bottles contain at least 80% recycled glass. Following this announcement, Highland Spring will have successfully attained Ethical Accreditation status for 10 consecutive years! The brand is highly recommended by The Good Shopping Guide, should you find yourself out and in need of hydration. You can learn more about the brand over at the Highland Spring website.
