Torture on your doorstep – The London Arms Fair (2015) by The Good Shopping Guide | Sep 18, 2015 | Ethical Shopping Blog | 0 comments Our research on the reality behind the world’s brands includes investigating companies involvement in the manufacturing or supply of armaments. This can range from nuclear or conventional weapons, including ships, tanks, armoured vehicles and aircraft; components of weapons systems; fuel, computing and communications services; as well as systems aiding the launch, guidance, delivery or deployment of missiles. One would be surprised at the type of companies that support the arms trade. An obviously highly unethical practice, The Good Shopping Guide is against arms dealing of any kind. That is why we’re asking our readers to support the Amnesty International campaign against the London Arms Fair, which opens this week at the ExCel centre. Alongside guns, tanks and killer drones, you might also find offers for illegal torture equipment – Amnesty International have in 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2013. Unsurprisingly, the UK government wants to keep this quiet. Let’s not let them hide the reality of what’s actually going on. Join the campaign, sign the petition, and share the video!
