How ethical is Stradivarius?

Stradivarius is a fashion brand which was launched in 1994 in Barcelona and became an online company in 2011.

Stradivarius has been given a below-benchmark score on The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Fashion Retailers Ratings Table. Although it has not yet met our ethical benchmark, we hope to see Stradivarius make progress in future.

In which areas does Stradivarius perform poorly?

Stradivarius is given a bottom rating for Human Rights, as the brand is owned by Industria de Diseño Textil, S.A (Inditex Group) which has a terrible Human Rights record. In the Tailored Wages report from the Clean Clothes Campaign which examined comments from 32 renowned clothing companies regarding instituting a livable wage for the people who make their clothes, Inditex was given the lowest possible rating.

Stradivarius gets a top rating for its Environmental Report as Inditex has a Sustainability page with plenty of goals, and for Animal Welfare as it has a robust Animal Welfare Policy.
