Equal Exchange is a self-owned company. In order to figure out how to revolutionise the way food is grown, purchased, and sold all over the world, the three founders decided to meet once a week back in 1986. They continued to do so for three years. They finally came up with a strategy for a new organisation called Equal Exchange.
