In what areas does Seasalt perform well?
Seasalt performs well across all categories of our research, receiving high scores across our research criteria for the Environment, Animals, and People.
Seasalt’s key achievements in these criteria include an up-to-date Sustainability Report and a Soil Association certification for some of its products, including its Breton t-shirt.
As for its commitments to Human Rights, Seasalt also has a comprehensive Code of Conduct, based on ETI principles. This code stipulates that “There is no forced, bonded or involuntary prison labour… No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed… No discrimination is practised… Working hours are not excessive… Living wages are paid… Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected…Child labour shall not be used… and… Working conditions are safe and hygienic.” Publishing a Code of Conduct is important because consumers can hold brands to account for their actions!
Consumers can see Seasalt’s range of targets for 2023-25 on the ‘Our Four Pillars‘ (page 5) section of its Sustainability Report.
