How ethical is Acer?

What does Acer do?

Acer was founded in 1976 under the name Multitech, the Acer brand was created in 1987, signifying its move towards globalisation. The computer brand launched the world’s first convertible tablet PC in 2002. You can find more about Acer’s history here.

The ethical laptop brand offers desktops, monitors, smart devices, Chromebooks and other accessories.

In what areas does Acer perform well? 

Acer performs well in many areas of business receiving a high ethical grade for all of our Environmental criteria, the brand also has no Animal Welfare criticisms. Acer’s sustainability report contains several targets for 2025 within its CSR and shows evidence of its progress. Acer products also feature EPEAT and Energy star ECO labels. The laptop brand follows the Responsible Business Alliance code of conduct and has a policy on responsible mineral sourcing.
