What does Alienware do?

Alienware was founded in 1996 as Saikai of Miami, Inc. by childhood friends Nelson Gonzalez and Alex Aguila. The brand manufactures desktops, notebooks, workstations, and PC gaming consoles. Employees claim that the name Alienware was chosen due to the founder’s love of the hit television show The X-Files, which also inspired the science-fiction-themed names of product lines such as Area-51, Hangar 18, and Aurora. It changed its name to Alienware in 1997.

For which criteria does Alienware perform poorly?

Despite Alienware’s progress ethically, there is still room for improvement. Alienware was marked down under our criteria for The Good Shopping Guide’s research in Human Rights, Fossil Fuels, and Armaments.
