Alpha

How ethical and sustainable is Alpha?

Alpha is included in The Good Shopping Guide‘s Boilers Ethical Ratings Table. Although Alpha has not yet met our moral standards, we are certain that it will do so in the future and start conducting business more morally. Alpha  may be able to increase customer confidence by pursuing Ethical Accreditation, which involves a more complete examination and recommendations for ethical development.

More information on the importance of ethical boilers may be found in The Good Shopping Guide’s Guide to Ethical Boilers.

What does Alpha do?

Alpha was founded in 1966 and is recognised throughout the UK as a strong player in the heating industry with an aim to put the customer first and delight them on a day-to-day basis. The boiler brand produces a range of Domestic boilers, air source heat pumps, controls and accessories. The brand operates in 30 countries worldwide and is owned by AlphaTherm Ltd.

For which criteria does Alpha perform poorly?

Alpha, the boiler supplier, receives a poor score for its Environmental Report as the brand does not have any goals or outlines what it is doing in order to support the Environment.

In what areas does Alpha score well for its ethics?

Alpha receives a high score for its Nuclear Power, Fossil Fuels, Animal Welfare, Armaments, Political Donations and Human Rights as the brand has received no complaints in any of these areas.

How can Alpha improve its ethical rating?

The Ethical rating of a brand is divided into three categories by The Good Shopping Guide: the Environment, People and Animals. Find out more about how we rate.

Alpha might apply for Ethical Accreditation for more detailed guidance on how to improve.

Alpha may improve its score and uphold our core ethical values by releasing an Environmental Report which details the progress that the brand is making towards operating in a more environmentally friendly manner, as well as outlining a range of goals to work towards.
