What does Disaronno do?
Disaronno was created in 1525 in Saronno, Italy. Since then the Disaronno recipe hasn’t changed, aside from Disaronno Velvet, which was released in 2020 as the first extension to the Disaronno product range. Disaronno is an almond-flavoured amaretto liqueur owned by ILLVA SARONNO S.p.A.
For which criteria does Disaronno perform poorly?
Disaronno received a low rating for its parent brand’s ‘Sustainability Path’ document, as this only contains vague goals and does not have enough information for a brand of such a size. Disaronno does not produce Organic or Vegan alcohol products. Disaronno’s original product is labelled as non-GMO but Disaronno Velvet is not, as the brand has no clear statement on this it receives a middle rating.
In what areas does Disaronno score well for its ethics?
Disaronno receives a high score in our Nuclear Power, Fossil Fuels and Animal Welfare research categories. The brand also had no affiliations to any Political Donations, or Armaments with no Public Record Criticisms either.
How can Disaronno improve its Ethical Rating?
The Ethical Rating of a brand is divided into three categories by The Good Shopping Guide: the Environment, People and Animals.
Disaronno might apply for Ethical Accreditation for more detailed guidance on how to improve its ESG/ CSR policies. Disaronno may improve its rating and fulfil our fundamental ethical requirements by improving its Environmental Report to include detailed goals as well as releasing a non-GMO statement for all its products.
