Electrolux

Is Electrolux an ethical cooker brand?

Owned by the Swedish home appliance manufacturer of the same name, Electrolux is a below-benchmark brand within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Cookers sector.

As a result of its low score, it cannot yet be classed as an ethical brand. However, we still encourage Electrolux to apply for Ethical Accreditation. The Good Shopping Guide would offer it an assessment and some detailed advice on what it needs to do to become one of our best cooker brands.

Would you like to find out how other brands rate against Electrolux within the Ethical Cookers sector? Have a look at  The Good Shopping Guide’s Cookers Ethical Ratings Table. Our Ratings Table can teach you more about the criteria that our top-rated brands have met to reach our minimum Ethical Benchmark.

All brands are encouraged by The Good Shopping Guide to follow in the footsteps of our top-rated brands and introduce more ethical practices.

Does Electrolux have an Environmental Report?

On its website, Electrolux has a recent Sustainability Report. Within its report, there are future targets for 2025, including CO2 emissions and energy. It also contains evidence of progress on its previous targets.

As a result, Electrolux receives a top score for this category.

Why does Electrolux receive a middle rating for Political Donations?

Within recent election cycles, Electrolux donated over $27k. As this amount is not over the threshold explained in our criteria, Electrolux receives a middle score.

What can Electrolux do to improve its score?

Electrolux’s below-benchmark score within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Cookers sector is the outcome of an assessment of a variety of ethical criteria.

As it has a low score on the Cookers Ethical Ratings Table we suggest that Electrolux get in touch with us and apply for Ethical Accreditation. When we have received its application, The Good Shopping Guide would offer Electrolux some tips on how to work on its bottom scores. If it follows our advice, Electrolux could see itself becoming eligible for Ethical Accreditation.

Were you aware that your Cooker brand could benefit from Ethical Accreditation? All of our Accredited brands can proudly display our Ethical Mark, highlighting to consumers that their products are ethical purchases to make.

The Good Shopping Guide’s Ratings Tables show which other brands within the Ethical Cookers sector have achieved our ethics and sustainability certification. If you would like some more information, please contact us or complete a rapid initial ethics and sustainability assessment form.
