What does Hoover receive a top rating for?

For its lack of negative records, Hoover receives a top rating for our Animal Welfare, Fossil Fuels and Nuclear Power categories.

Why does Hoover have a bottom rating for its Environmental Report and Code of Conduct?

Haier Group, Hoover’s parent company has an ESG Report. The report contains several targets in different areas including carbon emissions and recycling. However, some of the targets are out of date and therefore, no longer relevant.

Within the same report, there is mention of child labour and human rights. However, the information is lacking in detail and no official Code of Conduct could be found.

What can Hoover do to improve its score?

The below benchmark score that Hoover receives within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Washing Machines sector is the result of an assessment of multiple ethical criteria.

Because it has a low score in the Ethical Washing Machines sector, The Good Shopping Guide encourages Hoover to reach out to us and apply for Ethical Accreditation. After receiving its application, The Good Shopping Guide will provide Hoover with some personalised advice on how to improve its score on the Washing Machines Ethical Ratings Table.
