Island Bakery was founded by University of Edinburgh graduates Joe and Dawn Reade on the island of Tobermoray in 1994 when the island’s baker retired and there was a need for someone to replace them. It started out making bread sold from its deli, and by 2007 the organic biscuit production had outgrown the rest of the company.
