Pascoe’s

How ethical is Pascoe’s?

Pascoe’s is a brand of cat and dog food which is owned by ABP Food Group. Unfortunately, Pascoe’s does not quite reach The Good Shopping Guide’s minimum ethical benchmark and due to its low score on the Ethical Cat and Dog Food Ratings Table, it cannot be classed as an ethical brand.

If it were to apply for Ethical Accreditation, The Good Shopping Guide could provide Pascoe’s with an assessment and detailed recommendations on how it could improve to reach our minimum benchmark.

To find out where Pascoe’s ranks against other brands within the Cat and Dog Food sector, visit the Ethical Cat and Dog Food Ratings Table. You can learn more about the criteria that a brand needs to meet to reach our minimum ethical benchmark. All of our top-rated brands applied for ethical accreditation, and we encourage all below- benchmark brands to do the same.

What does Pascoe’s receive a high score for?

Pascoe’s receives a top score for its Environmental Report. Its parent company ABP Food Group has a dedicated sustainability page which includes the brand’s targets for 2030. Some of its targets include reducing water usage, carbon emissions and plastic packaging.

A top score is also awarded to Pascoe’s as it has no criticisms under our Animal Welfare category.

What does Pascoe’s receive a bottom score for?

Pascoe’s unfortunately receives a bottom score for our Organic category as it does not sell any organic dog food or cat food.

What can Pascoe’s do to improve its score?

The Good Shopping Guide calculated Pascoe’s score by considering various ethical standards. We would like to see Pascoe’s improve upon its bottom score for its lack of Organic products so that its place can rise on the Ethical Cat and Dog Food Ratings Table. Hopefully, Pascoe’s will improve upon its bottom ratings and if it applied, it could be awarded Ethical Accreditation for its cat and dog food.
