How ethical and sustainable are Sensations?

Sensations is included in The Good Shopping Guide‘s Crisps Ethical Ratings Table. Sensations has yet to meet our ethical standards, but we believe that in the future, the brand will make the necessary changes to function as a more ethical organisation.

What does Sensations do?

Sensations is a popular Crisp brand owned by Pepsi Co, the brand was launched in 2002 with a range of flavours such as Thai sweet chilli, Roast Chicken & thyme as well as Balsamic Vinegar & caramelised onion. Sensations are one of many Walkers crisp brands.

For which criteria does Sensations perform poorly?

The genetic modification policy of Sensations’ parent firm Pepsi has received a poor review when the business acknowledged utilising GM components in its products.  Pepsi also received a poor rating for animal welfare, fair trade, and political donations as a result of their exploitation of animal studies and millions in political payments to candidates, parties and PACs during recent U.S. election cycles.

In what areas does Sensations score well for its ethics?

Sensations receives a top rating for Fossil Fuels, Nuclear Power and Armaments, as PepsiCo is not associated with any of these unethical industries.

How can Sensations improve its ethical rating?

The Ethical rating of a brand is divided into three categories by The Good Shopping Guide: the Environment, People and Animals. Find out more about how we rate.

Sensations may improve its grade and meet our fundamental ethical requirements by removing all GMOs from its products and ceasing all political donations.
