What does Walkers do?

Walkers is a popular Crisp brand owned by PepsiCo, the brand began in 1948 and now owns many variations of crisp brands. Walkers sells crisps in a range of classic flavours including ready salted, salt & Vinegar, cheese & onion and prawn cocktail. Walkers products are sold in around 200 countries.

For which criteria does Walkers perform poorly?

Pepsi, the parent company of Walkers, received negative feedback for its stance on genetic modification after admitting to using GM ingredients in some of its products.  Due to its use of animal research (also known as ‘animal testing’) and millions in political contributions over recent U.S. election cycles, Pepsi also earned a low ranking for Animal Welfare and Political Donations.

In what areas does Walkers score well for its ethics?

A good grade is given to the Walkers report for its Environmental Report. The PepsiCo sustainability report includes a set of specific 2025 goals, all of which are accessible to the public on the business’ website.

How can Walkers improve its ethical rating?

The Ethical rating of a brand is divided into three categories by The Good Shopping Guide: the Environment, People and Animals. Find out more about how we rate.

By eliminating all GMOs from its goods and stopping all political donations, Walkers may raise its grade and conform to our core ethical standards.
