How ethical is Westons?

Westons is a brand of alcoholic drinks which has a good score on The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Beer, Lager & Cider Ratings Table.

With an above-benchmark GSG score, Westons can be considered an ethical brand. Westons hasn’t yet applied for Ethical Accreditation, but its high score would mean that if it did, it would be able to display The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Mark on its products.

Westons is a British cider brand based in Herefordshire which was founded in 1880 and is still located at its original address. Westons use traditional methods to make their cider from fruit grown in their own orchards.

Westons performs well for our Organic criteria as it has a product range called Wyld Wood which is certified by the Soil Association. It is given a middle rating for its Environmental Report as despite lots of ethical information, there are no clear targets on its website.
