How ethical is Yoni?

Yoni is a brand of period products which has a good score on The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Period Products Ratings Table.

With an above-benchmark GSG score, Yoni can be considered an ethical brand. Yoni hasn’t yet applied for Ethical Accreditation, but its high score would mean that if it did, it would be able to display The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Mark.

What does Yoni do?

Yoni was founded in 2014 by two Dutch women after they became aware that many period products were made of synthetic fabrics, and contained unnecessary chemicals and perfumes. Yoni makes a range of tampons and sanitary towels which are organic cotton and free of nasty additives.

In which areas does Yoni perform well?

Yoni products have certification from The Soil Association, so the brand gets a top score for our Organic criteria. Yoni is given a top rating for its Environmental Report, as it has an ‘Our Story’ page plus numerous blog posts which detail the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
