Fair Trade and Organic Chocolate: Alter Eco attains Ethical Accreditation
The Good Shopping Guide is excited to announce that Alter Eco, a new ethical chocolate brand brought to you by Ecotone, has been awarded our prestigious Ethical Accreditation.
Alter Eco receives an excellent GSG score within our research, due to its positive ethical policies and practices, which demonstrate the brand’s respect for the environment, animals, and people.
Alter Eco offers a range of eco-friendly and sustainable chocolate products, with many of its chocolate bars being organic, vegan, and fairly traded. The brand is certified by Fair for Life, which, much like the Fairtrade Foundation, ensures that the farmers supplying the brand’s chocolate are treated with respect and paid proper wages.
Alter Eco is also involved in several environmental initiatives, which highlights its status as an eco-friendly brand. For instance, Alter Eco prides itself on being climate neutral and offering zero waste packaging.
Moreover, the brand operates the Alter Eco Foundation, which promotes regenerative agriculture by funding non-profit organisations that focus on cocoa regeneration, reforestation, and other important causes.
