In which areas does Baumatic perform poorly?

Haier Group, Baumatic’s parent company, has an ESG Report which contains several targets in different areas including carbon emissions and recycling. However, the carbon emissions targets are out of date and therefore no longer relevant, so Baumatic gets a middle rating for its Environmental Report. Within Haier Group’s ESG Report, there is mention of child labour and human rights. However, the information contained lacks detail and no official Code of Conduct could be found, so a  bottom score is awarded for Code of Conduct.

Baumatic is also given a bottom rating for Political Donations as parent company Haier donated an amount above our minimum threshold in recent election cycles. Find out more about how we rate by exploring our ethical criteria.

In which areas does Baumatic score well for its ethics?

We found no criticisms of Baumatic relating to; Nuclear Power, Fossil Fuels, Animal Welfare or Armaments, so it scores well for these criteria.

How can Baumatic improve its ethical rating?

The below-benchmark score that Baumatic is awarded is the result of an evaluation of multiple ethical criteria. To reach our minimum benchmark score and qualify for Ethical Accreditation, Baumatic has some issues to resolve including its poor Code of Conduct.
