How ethical is BFree?

BFree is a bread brand which has a good score on The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Bread Ratings Table. With a high GSG score, BFree can be considered an ethical brand. BFree hasn’t yet applied for Ethical Accreditation, but its high score would mean that if it did, it would be able to display The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Mark on its products.

We encourage other companies in the Ethical Bread sector to follow BFree’s example and adopt more ethical policies and practices.

What does BFree do?

BFree bakery was founded in 2011 to produce wheat-free bread and bakery products.

In which areas does BFree perform well?

All of BFree’s products are labelled as ‘non GMO’, so it gets a top score for our GM criterion.

We found no criticisms relating to Palm Oil, Nuclear, Fossil Fuels, Animal Welfare, Political Donations or Armaments therefore BFree scores well across these criteria. Find out more about our ethical criteria.

As BFree already receives a top score in the Ethical Bread sector, The Good Shopping Guide encourages it to get in touch and apply for Ethical Accreditation. After sending in its application, BFree will be offered use of The Good Shopping Guide Ethical Mark.

However we would encourage BFree to gain Organic certification and improve its Environmental Report in order to improve its score. If BFree applies for Ethical Accreditation, The Good Shopping Guide would be able to offer some guidance on this.
