How ethical is Beko?

Beko is an appliance brand which was founded in Istanbul, Turkey in 1954, by Vehbi Koç, the founder of Koç Holding, and Leon Bejerano.

Koç Holding is heavily involved in the energy sector with subsidiaries in natural gas, oil tankers and oil refining, so Beko gets a bottom score for Fossil Fuels. It gets a middle rating for its Code of Conduct which is quite vague about working hours and child labour, and for armaments as Koç owns Otokar which manufactures military vehicles for the Turkish Defence Industry.
