What does Belazu do?

Belazu produces a range of cooking oils and vinegars, pestos, cooking pastes and other ingredients. The brand started as Fresh Olive when two friends began importing olives from Provence to the UK, which became a market stall in London in 1998 before Belazu was launched in 2000.

In which areas does Belazu score well for its ethics?

We found no criticisms of Belazu relating to; GM, Nuclear Power, Fossil Fuels, Animal Welfare, Political Donations or  Armaments, so it scores well for these criteria.

How can Belazu improve its ethical rating?

The below-benchmark score that Belazu is awarded is the result of an evaluation of multiple ethical criteria. To reach our minimum benchmark score and qualify for Ethical Accreditation, Belazu has some issues to resolve including its lack of Organic certification.
