What does Birra Moretti do?

Birra Moretti was founded in 1859 by Luigi Moretti. The beer brand is now exported to over 40 countries worldwide. The brand sells two different beers: one alcohol-free and the other, alcoholic. The beer brand has been owned by Heineken since 1996 (more on its history can be found here). 

For which criteria does Birra Moretti perform poorly? 

Low marks were given to Birra Moretti for Organic, Vegetarian/vegan, Genetic Modification and Public Record Criticisms. Organic and vegan beer options are not offered by the beer brand.

Past Criticisms of Birra Moretti’s ethical record

Birra Moretti’s ethical criticisms come from its parent company Heineken. Heineken was criticised for its contractor, Sider, being accused of having slave-like conditions for workers as well as being at fault by labour inspectors. Read more on this here.
