BlanX

Is BlanX an ethical toothpaste brand?

BlanX is a brand of whitening toothpaste which utilises Arctic Lichen in its products.

Unfortunately, BlanX does not meet our minimum ethical benchmark and receives a low score in The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Toothpaste Sector. Because of its low rating, it does not yet meet our minimum benchmark and cannot be classed as an ethical toothpaste brand.

Although it doesn’t yet reach our benchmark, The Good Shopping Guide still suggests that BlanX gets in touch and applies for Ethical Accreditation. After applying, The Good Shopping Guide would be able to offer BlanX an assessment and some advice on how to work on its bottom scores to become a more ethical brand.

Do you want to see how other popular brands compare against BlanX within the Ethical Toothpaste Sector? Visit the Toothpaste Ethical Ratings Table.  The Good Shopping Guide’s Ratings Table can help you to find out more about the criteria that our top-rated brands have fulfilled to meet our minimum ethical benchmark.

The Good Shopping Guide suggests that all below-benchmark brands follow the example set by our top-rated brands and begin introducing more ethical policies.

What does BlanX have a top rating for?

Due to its lack of negative criticisms, BlanX receives a top rating for our Genetic Modification, Political Donations and Nuclear Power categories.

Why does BlanX receive a bottom rating for our Environmental Report category?

Coswell S.p.A., parent company of BlanX, has a short Corporate Social Responsibility page, and a ‘Save The Arctic White’ page which discusses supporting initiatives that preserve the Arctic, but these lack detail and targets.

This lack of detailed information and sustainability targets means that BlanX receives a bottom rating.

What can BlanX do to improve its score?

BlanX’s below benchmark score within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Toothpaste Sector is the result of an evaluation of multiple ethical criteria.

As it has a low score in the Ethical Toothpaste Sector we recommend that BlanX contact us and apply for Ethical Accreditation. Once we receive its application, The Good Shopping Guide will offer BlanX some tips on how to become one of our most ethical toothpaste brands.

Were you aware that your toothpaste brand could benefit from Ethical Accreditation? Our accredited brands can proudly display our logo, demonstrating to consumers that its products are ethical and sustainable. The Good Shopping Guide’s Ratings Tables can show you which other brands within the  Ethical Toothpaste Sector have achieved our ethics and sustainability certification.
