CDA

Is CDA an ethical cooker brand?

Owned by Polish brand Amica, CDA is an above-benchmark brand within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Cookers sector due to its high score.

Because of its high score, CDA is eligible for Ethical Accreditation. In order to be awarded our Ethical Mark, all CDA needs to do is apply so that we can provide it with an assessment and some tips on how to make a couple of minor improvements.

Do you want to see how CDA compares to other brands within the Ethical Cookers sector? Visit the Cookers Ethical Ratings Table. Our Ratings Table can teach you more about the criteria that a brand has to meet to achieve reaching our minimum Ethical Benchmark.

The Good Shopping Guide encourages all brands to follow the example set by our top-rated brands such as CDA and introduce more sustainable policies.

What does CDA receive a top rating for?

Because it is an above-benchmark brand, CDA receives a top score in many of our categories including Political Donations and Human Rights.

However, we are especially pleased with its top rating for its robust Code of Conduct.

Does CDA have a good Environmental Report?

Unfortunately, CDA is given a bottom score from The Good Shopping Guide for its Environmental Report. CDA’s parent company Amica has a Corporate Responsibility page which very briefly mentions recycling.

However, it shares no other information or targets which is why it receives our lowest rating.

What can CDA do to improve its score?

CDA’S top score on The Good Shopping Guide’s Cookers Ethical Ratings Table is the result of a calculation of a variety of ethical criteria.

Due to the fact that CDA already has an above benchmark score in the Cookers Ethical Ratings Table all it has to do to receive our Ethical Mark is apply for Ethical Accreditation. If it applied, The Good Shopping Guide would offer CDA some tips on how to work on its bottom scores before it would be able to proudly display our ethics and sustainability certification.

Could your Cooker brand benefit from Ethical Accreditation? The Good Shopping Guide’s Ratings Tables can show you which other brands within the Ethical Cookers sector have achieved our ethics and sustainability certification.
