Is Fuller’s an ethical beer, lager and cider brand?

Owned by Asahi Group Holdings, Fuller’s is a below-benchmark brand due to its low score within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Beer, Lager and Cider sector.

Even though it has not yet met our minimum ethical benchmark, we still recommend that Fuller’s applies for Ethical Accreditation. The Good Shopping Guide would provide it with an assessment and some tips on how to make some sustainable improvements.

Does Fuller’s have any organic products?

Fuller’s produces Organic Honey Dew Ale which has been certified by The Soil Association. As a result, it is awarded with a top score for The Good Shopping Guide’s Organic category.

What does Fuller’s receive a bottom rating for?

Unfortunately, Fuller’s receives a bottom rating for our Animal Welfare research category. Asahi Group only recently announced a ban on animal testing, meaning it has still been testing on animals up until the recent past. As a result, it receives a bottom rating for this category.

What can Fuller’s do to improve its score? 

Fuller’s score within the Ethical Beer, Lager and Cider sector in The Good Shopping Guide is the outcome of an assessment of multiple ethical criteria. Due to its low score, Fuller’s is not yet qualified for Ethical Accreditation.
