How ethical is Green People?

Green People, sustainable skincare, health and beauty brand owned by The Green People Company, is one of The Good Shopping Guide’s top-rated ethical brands and is featured on our list of the Top 200 Ethical Businesses.

The brand receives an excellent Good Shopping Guide ethical score of 100 in our Ethical Make Up Ratings Table and therefore passes our ethical benchmark with flying colours.

We encourage other companies in the Make Up sector to follow Green People’s example and adopt more ethical policies and practices.

The history of Green People

When her toddler, Alexandra, was suffering from various skin sensitivities and eczema, Charlotte Vøhtz was inspired to develop genuinely organic skin care. While looking for natural high street treatments, she discovered that many so-called “natural” skin care items contained almost exclusively synthetic components! (To actually refer to a formulation as “natural,” it merely needs to have 1% natural or organic ingredients!)

After years of independent product development and dedication to the mission of organic skincare, Green People was established in 1997.

The company is constantly expanding its line of certified-Organic products.

The memory of Alexandra Kay, Charlotte Vøhtz’s daughter who sadly passed away in 2021, continues to be an inspiration for Green People.
