Pukka

Is Pukka an ethical vitamin and supplement brand?

Pukka is a well-known brand that produces tea, as well as vitamins and supplements. Despite its popularity, Pukka does not yet reach the minimum ethical benchmark within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Vitamins & Supplements Sector. As a result of its low score, Pukka cannot be classified as an ethical vitamin and supplement brand.

Although it does not quite reach our minimum benchmark, we still encourage Pukka to get in touch and apply for Ethical Accreditation. By applying, The Good Shopping Guide would be able to offer Pukka an assessment and some advice on how to improve its bottom ratings.

In which areas does Pukka perform poorly?

Unfortunately, Pukka receives a bottom rating for our Vegetarian/Vegan category. Despite its products being suitable for vegetarians, Pukka has not yet received certification.

Pukka’s parent company, CVC Capital Partners, is the joint-owner of Neptune Energy, a company involved in the oil & gas industry. As a result, Pukka receives a bottom rating in the Fossil Fuels criterion.

What can Pukka do to improve its score?

Pukka’s below benchmark score within The Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Vitamins & Supplements Sector is the outcome of an evaluation of a variety of ethical criteria.

Although it has a below-benchmark score in the Ethical Vitamins & Supplements Sector we recommend that Pukka get in touch and apply for Ethical Accreditation. Once we receive its application, The Good Shopping Guide will offer Pukka some advice on how it can become one of our best supplement brands.
