Ocean-Recovery Brand, Pet Impact, Earns Ethical Accreditation
Pet Impact has been awarded Ethical Accreditation from The GOOD Shopping Guide, earning its place on our list of the Top 200 Ethical Businesses. Following our most recent assessment, Pet Impact has achieved strong GSG Ethical Scores of 91 and 98 within our Cat & Dog Food Ethical Comparison Table and Pet Grooming Ethical Comparison Table respectively, as well as receiving Ethical Innovator status.
Founded by two veterinary surgeons on a mission to reduce the environmental footprint of pet ownership, Pet Impact has built a range of eco-friendly treats, poo bags, and grooming products that combine strong sustainability credentials with practical, everyday use.
Tackling Plastic, One Poo Bag at a Time
Pet Impact’s flagship product, the ReSEAcled poo bag, is made from ocean-recovered plastic collected from coastal communities. The company holds certified ‘funding plastic recovery’ status, meaning it removes more plastic from the environment than it uses. With a target of recovering 13 million bottles’ worth of plastic by the end of 2026, Pet Impact is backing up its environmental claims with measurable action. Its packaging is 100% recyclable or biodegradable, and its products carry OEKO-TEX certification, confirming they are free from harmful substances.
Transparent Reporting and Clear Targets
Pet Impact publishes a detailed Impact Report covering its environmental progress, supply chain practices, and sustainability targets. The company has committed to reaching net zero by 2040 and powers its operations with renewable energy. Over 90% of its treats are sourced from UK farms, supporting high animal welfare standards, and the business banks exclusively with ethical providers. This level of transparency is exactly what consumers and retailers should expect from a brand that takes its environmental responsibilities seriously.
Giving Back Beyond the Product
Pet Impact donates 18% of its profits to Repurpose Global, a social enterprise that funds waste management and recycling infrastructure in communities most affected by plastic pollution. Through its membership with Mossy Earth, the company also supports reforestation and rewilding projects around the world. These initiatives reflect a commitment to positive impact that extends well beyond the products on the shelf.
An Ethical Innovator
Pet Impact receives our Ethical Innovator status, reserved for only our most pioneering brands. Its evidence-based approach to product development, transparent reporting, and substantial charitable commitments set it apart within the pet care sector.
As Pet Impact receives Ethical Accreditation from The GOOD Shopping Guide, it demonstrates that responsible pet care and strong environmental values can go hand in hand. Pet owners looking for products they can trust now have a clear, independently verified option.
