Research Update – Bottled Water by The Good Shopping Guide | Oct 9, 2015 | Ethical Accreditation, Ethical Shopping Blog | 0 comments We have released our latest research on Bottled Water brands. At the outset it should be noted that we continue to recommend that people drink tap water. When out of the house, it is best to use a reusable bottle – such as a stainless steel bottle. However, if you find yourself out and about and in need of hydration, review our Quick Table and see which is the best brand to purchase from. The big news as a result of this research update is that Highland Spring has been re-awarded Ethical Accreditation for the 7th year. This is a tremendous accomplishment. The other big story is that Nestle and Danone have slipped even further down the rankings. Both have new animal testing criticisms. But the most notable criticism which we recommend our readers look into, is how Nestle are being criticised for their continued exploitation of water resources from drought-stricken regions, such as in California. A number of campaigns have also been launched by regional communities against the company and its practices. See this campaign, for example.
