In which areas does DANO perform well?

DANO performs well across all of our criteria for the Environment, Animals and People. It produces a comprehensive Environmental Report, never use GM ingredients or materials, makes organic products and offers vegan and vegetarian dog food products.

DANO and its parent company, Yarrah Organic Petfood, evaluate raw materials prior to processing. To further confirm that the raw materials are truly organic and that the animals are living happy lives, its staff directly visits suppliers. This guarantees animal wellbeing throughout the entire pet food production process.

What makes DANO so sustainable?

Numerous sustainable initiatives at DANO support the ethical standing of this company. After noticing an increase in the prevalence of allergies in cats and dogs, DANO set about to address this issue for the benefit of our pets!

Herbicide, pesticide, antibiotic, and hormone residues in typical pet food may be the source of these reactions. Furthermore, there may be negative reactions to pet food due to the widespread use of chemical preservatives and flavourings. DANO wants to change this. Organic farming does not use toxic pesticides. As a result, organic products are free of any harmful residues and doesn’t include artificial flavours, colours, or other artificial additives.

How did DANO attain Ethical Accreditation?

DANO has attained Ethical Accreditation from The Good Shopping Guide. This involved an application process and a full review of the brand’s ethical policies and practices. DANO is subject to an annual review to ensure the company maintains high ethical standards.

As a result, DANO is permitted to use our Good Shopping Guide Ethical logo, which certifies the brand’s ethical status and allows consumers to recognise DANO as an ethical brand.
